Dr Moulia-Pelat’s new mission in Chad and CAR

During his last mission in Africa, Dr Moulia-Pelat, Director of programmes at the OPC, had prepared the organisation of national plans to fight against trachoma, in Chad and the CAR, with respect to the four components of the acronym S.A.F.E (or C.H.A.N.C.E in French). (S) for eyelid surgery, (A) for antibiotics to treat the community pool of infection, (F) for facial cleanliness, and (E) for environmental changes (access to water among others).

His new mission starts today and will last 15 days. His objective : to validate the national plans during two workshops which will take place the 7th,8th and 9th March 2012 at Ndjamena (Chad) and the 14th, 15th and 16th March 2012 at Bangui (CAR).
