TRACHOMA : TRAINING IN CHAD

As part of the implementation of epidemiological surveys of the prevalence of trachoma, the OPC is organising a training course for Specialist Ophthalmic Technicians (SOT) and Smartphone entry operators in N’djamena, Chad, from 22nd to 26th April.

Opening of the training (objectives, protocol, methods) with both groups.

This course takes place in accordance with the protocol of the Global Trachoma Mapping Project (GTMP) and the four trainees who have been invited are : Doctor Coulibaly from Mali, Doctor Biao and Doctor Amadou from Benin for the ophthalmologic part, and the OPC’s Director for the input and data management part.
_Field trips have been planned during which data testing submissions to the "cloud" in Atlanta will be made.
_Immediately after the end of the training course from 28th April to 30th June, the selected SOT and data operators will be tasked to conduct Phase I of the investigations.
